01/10- Congratulations to Kathy Lopez, she is the newest Certified Stroke and Turn Official!
Officials should be receiving their 2010 USA Swimming rule books in the mail. The are
the complete, large size version. The 2009 mini rule book may still be used and available.
See Coach Sam for the mini rule book. The rule book should be readily available when
officiating.
12/10- Congratulations to Sherri Hutchens and George Steiger for successfully completing
the USA Swimming Officials Apprentice program. The are now Certified Stoke and Turn
Judges!!
According to the USA website 2010 Rule Books will not be sent out until May 15th. Officials are to work from the 2009 rule book until the new rule books are sent. 2009 Mini Rule Books have been ordered for all officials and they should be in soon.
Just a reminder that if you plan to attend a meet and would like to officiate or apprentice please contact the meet referee prior to the meet. This is just a courtesy and will be greatly appreciated!
Also, for those still interested in officiating please keep checking the MD swimming web site. There may be some clinics available with the start of the new year.
